Changes... [Sep. 30th, 2005|03:15 pm]

[mood |tiredtired]

Hi, I work at Macaroni Grill in Ann Arbor, MI. I was wondering how everyone felt about the major company-wide changes that have been going on. I feel as if our management team is feeling hopeless, and everyone in the restaurant is pretty whiny and annoyed in general. I was wondering if any of the other Mac Grills are experiencing the same thing.

Regardless, I am looking for another job. I was just wondering if it was just my store or if the whole company is getting dredged down.

i was bartending last night (mac grill) and it was busy as hell. a couple came in and scammed me with the $100 trick. my drawer was short $100 and they didnt come back to get their to go food. i was extremely pissed. i know most bartenders have been warned of this scam, but i never thought it would happen to me...well it did. beware, in case youre naieve like me... there are still scamming, ruthless, ugly, vindictive people out there. i work in an upscale suburban area and i was scammed...people suck.

I am a Saluta at Romano's Macaroni Grill and it's one awesome job. May pay is great. And all i really have to do is stand behind a podium and tell hot chicks where to take people. It really doesn't get better than that.

Hey all

I'm a saluta at Mac Grill. And a singer. It's pretty cool, but can be a pain in the butt sometimes, like any other job.

I don't know about any of you other hosts/hostesses, but my least favorite question in the world right now is "Can we have a booth?"

SOS contest [Apr. 8th, 2005|02:47 pm]

Hey, I was wondering...Everyone is doing those SOS things...at least Chili's anyway...Well, I was the top seller for my store, and the contest was supposed to end April 7th...technically the 6th...but people still sold them today (the 8th) when today and tomorrow is supposed to be the golf tornament when they present the money to the kids. I know it's for a good cause, but I really wanted to win, especially since I never win anything...and I wanted to know if anyone else knew if the contest is valid after the posted day it ended?

Hi! [Feb. 16th, 2005|12:49 am]

I was so excited to find this group! I have been a Brinker slave at Mac Grill since September 04, so about five months. It's great to know that other people feel like Brinker slaves too.

So all I wanted was to take off Christmas Eve...(my boyfriend's birthday) I requested it off MONTHS ago, knowing it's never really for sure, but also having high hopes since I volunteered new years eve and new years day...unfortionately, the GM told us that people with kids would get it off...and lo and behold when the schedule came out like a lot of people had to work. I was supposed to work AM but when I looked on the schedule, why couldn't they have given my shift to someone who wasn't working already in the AM...I was planning on staying over at Orlando and going to Universal for his birthday and all...and the lady that made the schedule ended up giving herself the day off...I really don't think that's right, especially since I was the third one to put it in the book, and only a few people did so anyway. To me, that's responsibility...puting it in the book, doing what you're supposed to. It made me so angry that that happened. I'm sorry for those of you who have kids...or maybe you can explain to me...for my family Christmas Eve was when we opened one present and then went to bed to wait for Santa. I know people go to church and have big family meals...but isn't that at night? I ended up bribing someone $50 just to work for me...which could have been stopped if she had been scheduled for the AM shift anyway!! my restuant is going down hill so fast. grr.

Hey what's going on guys? My name is Rusty, I'm 20, I live in Duluth GA (northeast Atlanta) and I'm a OTB slave (or 'esclavo' in Spanish). I'm only a baby slave, I've been at OTB for about 4 weeks but I feel like I've been there a hell of a lot longer. Just wanted to get my name up and let people that I exist, or something. Long live Brinker.
